Lifetime Achievement Awards, Category Restructuring, and Nominee Numbers

There will be a total of four lifetime achievement awards given; two for comics, and two for cartoons. The recipients are available after the break.


LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS:

Comics: Alan Moore & Grant Morrison

Cartoons: Genndy Tartakovsky & Bruce Timm

Tune in this Friday to the livestream channel (link and time TBA) to see the nominees announced! A complete list of nominees - along with the official voting ballot - will be available on this site shortly after the nomination ceremony.

CATEGORY RESTRUCTURING:
  • Outstanding Mini/Limited Comic Book Series and Outstanding Graphic Novel have been combined into one category
  • Most Promising New Comic Writer has been removed
  • The two Supporting Character categories in a Comic Book Series/Graphic Novel have been combined

NUMBERS:
  • Outstanding Animated Series will have six (6) nominees
  • Outstanding Comic Book Movie will have three (3) nominees
  • Most Promising New Animated Series will have six (6) nominees
  • Most Promising New Webcomic will have three (3) nominees
  • Outstanding Writing in an Animated Movie will have four (4) nominees
  • Distinguished Supporting Character in an Animated Movie will have four (4) nominees
  • Distinguished Male Supporting Character in an Animated Series will have six (6) nominees
  • Distinguished Male Leading Character in a Comic Book Series/Graphic Novel will have six (6) nominees
All other categories will have five nominees.
